What equipment will I need to get?

To start with - nothing. The majority of coaching sessions will be run using kwik cricket equipment, provided by the club. Colts will need to wear tracksuit or something suitable for practice. As colts become selected to represent their age group they will be required to wear whites (trousers and a polo or cricket shirt). 

As colts progress through the system and into hard ball games a box (protective equipment) is required. Helmets will always be provided by the club and it is our policy to make all colts wear helmets while batting with hard balls, or standing up keeping wicket.

Cricket equipment can be expensive and colts can often grow out of equipment quickly. Before buying a bat, or any cricket equipment for your child, please speak to one of the coaches who will be happy to give you advice on suitability. For instance a poorly selected bat that is too heavy or too large can often impair the progress of a colt.
